Vestaboard Note earns praise from WSJ, Forbes, CNN, and more

In recent weeks, WSJ Buy Side, Forbes, CNN Underscored, Good Housekeeping, and more have featured Vestaboard Note, celebrating everything from the sound to the sleek design to the endless ways to make it your own. Here’s what they have to say.

A standout gift

In its graduation gift guide, WSJ Buy Side called Note "a luxurious gift that might appeal to the hardest to buy for." One Buy Side editor tested it firsthand, finding it "offered a fun way to automatically display what song is playing on [his] Sonos system." They also pointed to the many other possibilities, "from getting weather reports in the morning to sending messages," a nod to both Vestaboard+ and core software features.

For Father's Day, Yahoo shared that Note “makes staying connected feel more personal," calling it "a modern version of the kitchen bulletin board." As their editors wrote, "Whether it's a quick 'good luck,' a family update or a simple hello, it turns everyday communication into something Dad can actually see and enjoy. This is one gift that will truly blow him away." In a separate music-lover's guide, Yahoo added that it's perfect for "a man cave or music studio," adding, "how cool to incorporate song lyrics in it as well?"

An emerging design trend

Note is turning up as a home-design trend to watch. In its coverage of the Houzz report on emerging summer design trends, Forbes spotlighted Note as a way to "merge fun and practicality," letting you "create inspirational or fun messages for family and guests, celebrate special days, organize the day's events, and even automate messages."

In a hands-on review, Good Housekeeping described Note as "a beautiful display that combines tech with art," specifically calling out the fun of automating content with Vestaboard+: "You can have your world clock change the time every minute, or you can have new quotes displayed every hour." "Unlike a painting or photograph you might get sick of… this never gets old."

An analog delight in a world of screens

Perhaps no outlet has fallen for Note quite like CNN Underscored. Senior deals editor Rikka Altland featured it twice, once among the best product launches of June, and again as an editor-favorite product. "Getting my hands on a Vestaboard has been on my list for years," Altland wrote, "the company just released a smaller and more affordable Vestaboard Note, and after waiting for the preorder to ship, I've finally been able to bring one to my home."

Altland also reviewed both the free functions of the app and Vestaboard+, noting it can "show everything from custom written messages, subway wait times and live sports scores to what music is playing in your home, news alerts and so much more." For her, that meant "keeping tabs on New York Mets games and… knowing how long I have until the next L train pulls into the station down the street."

"With so many screens everywhere in my life, having a more analog way to show graphics that I would typically check my smartphone for is just such a delight."
