Yes, Vestaboard cannot be placed on a table or surface without an appropriately rated VESA compatible display system, or it will fall over.
Vestaboard must be installed using the included wall plate system or on a 400mm x 400mm VESA compatible display mount or stand. Learn more about our recommended mounting and installation approach here.
If using an alternate mount, we recommend re-using the provided screws from the vertical rails to attach Vestaboard to your new VESA system. Alternatively, if you proceed with the screws provided by the VESA mount manufacturer, confirm they do not exceed 10mm in length and match the 0.75mm thread, as there is significant risk that longer screws will pierce the Vestaboard backplane.
