Each character unit (or "Bit") is 2.68 inches tall x 1.43 inches wide. Actual character size is 1.04 inches tall x 0.82 inches wide and is visible from 50 feet (15 m) away.
Each Bit is modular and can easily be replaced by hand and without tools, if necessary.
