Sixteen months ago, Vestaboard Note did not exist. In April 2025, a shifting trade environment and new restrictions on critical supplies out of Asia collapsed the assumptions behind a project we had spent more than a year building. We gathered the team and asked what we could build that delivers the same magical experience and fits the way we already manufacture. The concept came together in less than four weeks.
We opened pre-orders at $899 last year as an early backer price while the product was moving from concept into production amid volatile supply-chain conditions. At the time, we expected the regular price to be well above $1,000. By managing costs carefully, we were pleased to prove our own estimate wrong and launch at $999, believing we could carry forward a sub $1k offering. Unfortunately, continued supply-chain pressures have made that price unsustainable. Rather than compromise the quality our customers expect, our new pricing reflects our commitment to high standards.
