Yes! You can choose how messages transition on your Vestaboard using different animation styles and speeds in the app. Whether you want something subtle or more eye-catching, you can tailor how updates appear here.
Transition Styles

Classic: The original update style. Only characters that change will flip, and they update all at once.

Wave: Columns animate from left to right, creating a smooth, flowing effect.

Drift: A right-to-left version of Wave, with the same fluid motion in reverse.

Curtain: Columns animate from the outside toward the center, creating a dramatic reveal.
Note: Wave, Drift, and Curtain currently animate every character, even if it doesn’t change. This creates more motion and sound than Classic.
Best for:

Classic → Frequently updating content like dashboards or data displays

Wave, Drift, Curtain → Drawing attention or adding ambience
Speed Options (Wave, Drift, Curtain only)
You can choose between two animation speeds:

Fast: Columns overlap slightly for a quicker, fluid transition.

Gentle: Each column completes before the next begins. Ideal for quieter environments or a calmer presence.
Tip: If your Vestaboard is in a noise-sensitive space, choose Gentle for a softer update experience.
How to Change Transition Settings

Open the app and tap the gear icon to access Settings.

Select Transitions.

Choose your preferred style and speed.
Requirements: Transition options require firmware version v4.0 or later.
