Our notification system shares alerts and notices to help you stay connected with your Vestaboard and community.
Whether you want to receive alerts about new features, firmware updates, or messages from friends, you have complete control over what notifications you receive and how they're delivered.
Your Vestaboard notifications work in two ways:
- In-App Notifications: All notifications appear in your Vestaboard app's notification center, keeping you informed when you're actively using the app.
- Push Notifications: Optional alerts sent directly to your device's lock screen for immediate awareness, even when the app isn't open.
This dual approach ensures you never miss important updates while giving you control over which alerts interrupt your day.
During Initial Setup
When you first set up your Vestaboard app, you'll be prompted to enable push notifications with a clear explanation of their benefits. You can choose to:
- Enable Push Notifications: Stay immediately informed about important updates
- Maybe Later: Continue with in-app notifications only (you can enable push notifications anytime in Settings)
If You Haven't Enabled Push Notifications
If you visit the Notifications tab without having enabled push notifications, you'll see helpful, platform-specific instructions for enabling them through your device settings:
For iOS users:
- Tap "Notifications" in your device Settings
- Turn "Allow Notifications" on and adjust settings as needed
For Android users:
- Tap on "Apps" in your device Settings
- Choose Vestaboard App and tap on "Notifications"
- Turn "All Notifications" on and adjust settings as needed
