Marquee Pinball brings vintage vibes to downtown Napa

When customers Tim and Kim set to open Napa’s premier downtown pinball lounge, Marquee Pinball, the vision was clear: create an immersive space with a focus on community, distraction, and competition. The Edwardian-style bar and lounge pairs the classic appeal of vintage pinball with rotating beer taps and iconic movie quotes woven throughout the space.
Rather than hanging a traditional sign or static logo, the team at Marquee chose to give that central, eye-catching space to a dynamic display. "The Vestaboard takes the prime spot at the center of our bar, where a logo might typically go," the team shared. "We felt that a mechanical display, something with movement and sound, aligned more with our analog spirit. The soft flip of the characters draws people in."

Marquee uses the Vestaboard to showcase a rotating beer tap menu, quotes from the movies that inspire their pinball machines, and local info like calendar events and social handles. The team sees their Vestaboard not just as a display, but as an extension of the experience.

"Our clients love the soothing sounds," they shared, "with our pinball lounge being so analog focused, with balls, mechanics, etc., it's a fun connection to the games they are playing." From welcoming messages to playful updates tied to the games in play, it enhances the connection between the space and its guests.  It’s become part of the atmosphere.
