We have been on the Vestaboard journey since the beginning, and our Founder's Edition board is well travelled! Playing a key role in one of our popular live innovation labs, we have taken our Vestaboard on the road to many commercial events where it helps us engage people who stop by, acting as our collaboration catalyst, displaying emerging ideas and sparking debates. Often these events are fast paced, and we must balance communication with building something cool - our Vestaboard is a great way catch attention and get feedback on what we are developing. No polish, just real-time co-creation that gets executives sketching alongside engineers.
More recently our Vestaboard has been taking a break from its travels to the wall of our studio, transformed into a multiplayer word game live-streamed on our site. We wanted to create something that exemplified the way we blend digital and physical experience, something we could engage visitors to our website with, something that would build a connection from our physical space to theirs. We decided to build a word game, inspired by the enduring appeal of things like Wheel of Fortune, Wordle, and Hangman.
Visitors to our site would collaborate to guess the word or phrase, and we would know they were there by the friendly clacking of the board as they revealed letter clues or successfully solved each puzzle. It's our daily proof that technology works best when it brings people together. We originally only intended to run it for a few weeks, but we are nearing 2-months and it’s starting to feel like a permanent feature of the studio. This could be the end of its road-tripping for a while!"
