Recently, Andrew created a a visual countdown timer powered by an Apple Shortcut. Instead of watching numbers tick down on a screen, Andrew's timer gradually removes colored flaps from the display as time passes, creating a simple visual indication of how much time remains. "It's great for cooking, kids' timeouts, and anything where you just want a quick visual reference," he explains.
The timer is just one of several custom projects he's built around his Note. Using Apple HomeKit, Andrew also created an integration that displays his children's school lunch menu, making it easy for the family to see what's being served that day with a quick glance.
But the fun isn't just in the finished product, it's also in imagining what could come next. Among his ideas is a Wheel of Fortune inspired game that would allow players to guess letters through a smart speaker and watch them appear on the display one by one, recreating the experience of the classic game show.
Whether it's helping manage family routines, displaying useful information, or experimenting with new concepts, the Note has turned into a daily hub for the entire household.
